Q
was born here, under Nellie's caring touch. She was sold as a pup and
had to be taken back for various reasons. Needless to say, when I took
her leash at about 14 months old, she came with a lot of bad baggage.
We
went thru hell and back together! She was never overly friendly with
others, but neither was she aggressive for no reason. To me, she was
everything that a dobermann SHOULD be! It's just a shame that
motherhood didn't suit her.
I've had many friends over the years,
even a few husbands along the way. But for me, Q was my 4 legged
soulmate! She could read my mind as easily as I could hers. There was
nothing that girl wouldn't try to do for me! She truly taught me what
unselfish love was and I will miss her terribly.
Q lived a very full
life with me. Whenever we were together, she was working. Whenever we
were apart, she would worry until I returned to her. About a year ago
she started showing some lack of full control on occasion in her rear
end. Sometimes she would stumble a little, but would never admit to
needing a little help.
Finally, age started creeping in hard on her
and I swore that her dignity would always be placed above my desire to
hold her close to me.
With a smile, and her head in my lap, we parted
ways for a time. I'm sure she is waiting for me, pacing and watching,
until I can join her once again.
You will always be loved, my Q'ser!

Q was 14 months old when she was returned to
us. She did not have a very stable start as a puppy. Her strength of
character has definitely carried her through all of it! I have worked Q
for just about every venue available to me. It's a shame that my work
schedule and travel costs didn't permit me to title her more. She has,
however, proven herself on many occasions, out in the world. She
traveled with me to Miami on a regular basis to do her job. I would
never have been able to do the things I did without her. My butt is
here, unharmed, as testament to her character! She's been a true
'Partner'.
She is my Q'ser!
